If Ken and Badcreek and some other supporters held Trout Tournaments with 100% payback would anyone be interested?( plus if we get sponser donations)
Badcreek,Sponsoners, and Ken will need to be eligilble to fish since we don't pocket anything except winnings.
Let us know what you want to do.

This is what I have in mind.
Outline for Lake Jocassee trout tournaments, 2010 season

1. All Tournaments will start at 7am. May and June at 6am. Unless delayed by weather. One fish per contestant is eligible. No late entries or launches permitted.
2. Events will be 1st. Saturday of each month.
3. $10./season for Big fish pot will be colleted from each contestant, one time.
4. Entry fee will be $35. Per contest/ tournament. $45. for your 1st. tournament
5. Payback will be 100% for big fish at the end of the season.
6. $5.00 will be held from each entry fee for Championship award at the end of the season, which will be paid back 100%. Champion will be determined by total weight caught.
7. $30./contestant will be paid  back 100% at each tournament.
8. One place will be paid at each tournament for each 10 entries, up to 5 places.
9. Tournaments will begin 12/5/ 09 and run thru the 1st. Saturday in June. Seven tournaments in all

Sample payout, if 100 people enter each tournament:
A. Big fish pot at the end $1000.
B. Championship award pot $3500.
C. Payout at each tournament $3000.

We will need a sponsor or sponsors to cover Polygraph, trophies, and other expenses. We will also need some volunteers to help with boat launches and registration. And we will need a place to host these tournaments.
If you have other ideas post them here.

I was asked a couple of weeks ago to invent a tournament for this season on Jocassee. At that time JOC was in a total fog as to what it's plans were.
If my ideas are closer to what everyone would like to see this year post your comments now. The plan I posted is just an idea, it is flexible. But for the Tournament officials and workers to fish it needs to be 100% payback. And I think a Safelight start is important too.
If  there is not enough interest in my plan, I won't spend anymore time on it. I can live with fishing for 1st. place in JOC's event. It may be possible for JOC to use my format with the 80% payout if there is enough support for it. But we need to know what you want.

By everyone's silence , I guess you're happy with JOC's Tournament format. I won't waste anymore of my time looking for sponsors, donations, and volunteers.
